Such is the case with the 5th coin in the series that shows on the obverse side, Germania and Polonia standing side by side. Polonia is holding a sword in her right hand and has what looks like a wreath on her head. Germania is holding a shield with a bicephalous eagle on it. At the left edge of the coin is ‘ALLEGORIES’. At the right edge is ‘2 oz 999.9 FINE SILVER’.
On the reverse of the coin is the Germania coat of arms. This coat of arms has four quadrants that have elements that are symbolic. The bicephalous eagle, an eagle with two heads represents the past and future. The checkerboard design represents wisdom and prudence. A ribbon with flowers on it represents unity, integrity, and freedom. A wild boar is believed to be a symbol of mightiness. The coat of arms is surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves which represent loyalty, stability, and national unity. At the top edge is ‘GERMANIA 2022’. At the bottom edge is ‘10 MARK’.
