On the obverse of the coin is Jody Clark’s Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse features the Australian Kookaburra bird.

Perth Mint’s Silver Kookaburra Coin was first released in 1990. It quickly became a popular series and collectors know that they can expect a new design with every issue. The obverse side of the coin features Australia’s Kookaburra bird, a bird that is iconic to Australia and is known for its distinctive call that sounds like maniacal laughter. Howarth’s beautiful design shows the bird perched on a gum tree with seedpods underneath. Arched above the image is written ‘Australian Kookaburra’. Inside these words is a microscopic symbol as an anti-counterfeit measure. Below the image is ‘2021 10oz 9999 Silver’.
