Although there are hundreds of public and private mints all over the world, the U.S. Mint holds a special place in the hearts of most collectors. This is due in no small part to the tremendous popularity of the American Silver Eagle.

The Mint produces over ten million of these coins every year, and they practically fly off the shelves. And why wouldn’t they? For fans of American history and symbolism, nothing can beat the incredible designs on the obverse and inverse of the American Silver Eagle Coin.

At Hero Bullion, we are glad to be able to offer 20-coin tubes of these historic American Silver Eagle Type 2 coins.

The Type 2 models of the American Silver Eagles are a relatively new edition to the offerings of the United States Mint; the first designs in this series were released just this year. Before the Type 2 redesign, the American Silver Eagle featured a stationary eagle in a pose that most Americans would recognize. 13 stars are ordered above the head of the eagle, which carries an olive branch and a bundle of arrows. The new design on these Silver Eagle Type 2 Coins features an eagle flying toward its nest and carrying a single olive branch.

Key Features:

  • Shipped in tubes of 20 coins.
  • 1 Oz of .999 pure silver.
  • Face value of $1 USD backed by the U.S. government.
  • Reverse Depiction: Flying American Bald Eagle carrying an olive branch.
  • Obverse Depiction: Lady Liberty walks in front of a setting sun.

As with all United States Mint coins, these pieces are eligible for Precious Metal IRAs. A tube of 20 is an especially alluring option for collectors who appreciate the future value of this new series. The 2021 edition is the first American Silver Eagle Type 2 to be released.

Buying these coins means buying the first version of a completely new design. The Silver Eagle has remained the same with its reverse side for decades, so the introduction of a brand new design is an exciting prospect. As this coin continues its annual release schedule, it’s likely that this first edition will eventually appreciate in value.

Regardless of the new reverse-side design, the obverse remains the same. This coin features the iconic Walking Lady Liberty. She strides forward, hew gown flowing in the wind as she carries a bundle of olive branches and gestures toward a setting sun.

We’re actually glad that this exceptional design didn’t change. Walking Liberty has long been a hallmark of American coin designs. This incredible depiction is one of several reasons that the coin series continues to be among the most popular in the world.

If you’re anticipating the upcoming value and global demand for this newest redesign of the classic American Silver Eagle Coin, consider buying one of our 20-coin tubes. Expand your collection of coins with this impressive new model today.
