Hera, Queen of the Gods, Graded 70 PPQ
The Hera Silverback is the second release in Goldback, Inc.’s Legends of Olympus series, and this one comes graded. PCGS Banknote graded it 70 PPQ, Supreme Gem Uncirculated, the top of the banknote scale, and sealed it in a PCGS holder with the grade, the 2026 date and the serial number on the label. Inside is a 1 Silverback carrying 1/1,000th of a troy ounce of pure silver under hand-drawn artwork of Hera.
The Hera Artwork
Goldback, Inc. describes Hera as the guardian of women, marriage and family, revered and feared alike: a protector and a goddess known for her vengeance. On the note she wears a crown and stands before a full moon, one arm reaching out toward a small bird, a scepter at her side, and the eyes of peacock feathers trailing through her gown. A roaring lion strides at her feet through the clouds, with stars and butterflies scattered across the sky.
The artwork is exclusive to this release, and parts of it are printed in UV-reactive ink. Under a UV light, the moon, the stars and other details glow blue, which is one of the security features alongside the serial number. A blue security thread runs down the left side of the note, the classic blue of the Standard edition.
What the 70 PPQ Grade Means
A 70 is the highest grade PCGS gives a banknote. To reach it, a note has to be centered to the unaided eye with full margins, with no handling marks and no flaws in the print anywhere on it. PPQ stands for Premium Paper Quality, the PCGS designation for notes showing original, unrestored paper, and every note graded 65 or higher has to meet it. The holder keeps the note protected and ready to display.
A Collectible, Not a Currency
The Silverback is not money, and Goldback, Inc. says so plainly: it is a collectible made for trading, not spending, and the note is printed as a Limited Edition Collectible. A thousandth of an ounce of silver is worth a small fraction of what this costs. Its value comes from grade, rarity and design, not from its metal weight, so buy it for the art and the series, not for the silver.
1 Hera Standard Silverback Specifications

1 Hera Standard Silverback FAQ
Is the Hera Silverback a currency?
No. Goldback, Inc. makes Silverbacks as collectibles for trading, not for spending. That separates it from a Goldback, which is meant to be saved or spent.
What does 70 PPQ mean on a PCGS Banknote holder?
It is the top grade on the PCGS banknote scale, labeled Supreme Gem Uncirculated, combined with the Premium Paper Quality designation for original, unrestored paper.
How is the Graded Standard different from the Standard and Elite Hera?
The Standard is the ungraded note with the classic blue border. The Graded Standard is that same blue-border note, professionally graded and released in a smaller quantity. The Elite has a purple border and a low mintage, and it is only sold graded.
How much silver is in a Hera Silverback?
One thousandth of a troy ounce of pure silver, printed on the note as 1/1000th troy ounce pure silver.
Will my note have the serial number shown in the photo?
No. Every Hera Silverback carries its own serial number, printed on the note and repeated on the PCGS label, so yours will differ from the one pictured.
