The Purple-Border Hera, Graded 70 PPQ
The Elite is the rarest version of the Hera Silverback, and the only one that comes with a purple border. Goldback, Inc. gives it a low mintage and sells it graded only, so every Elite sits in a PCGS Banknote holder. This one graded 70 PPQ, Supreme Gem Uncirculated, with the 2026 date, the Elite designation and the serial number printed on the label. Inside is 1/1,000th of a troy ounce of pure silver under the second design in the Legends of Olympus series.
Hera Under the Moon
Goldback, Inc. calls Hera the Queen of the Gods and the guardian of women, marriage and family, a protector and an avenger, revered for one and feared for the other. The artwork puts her in a crown before a full moon, a small bird lifting from her outstretched hand, a scepter at her side. Peacock-feather eyes run down her gown, and a lion roars beside her as it strides through the clouds, with butterflies and stars around them.
On the Elite, the purple carries through the whole note: the border, the security thread and the large 1 in the corner are all printed in purple instead of the Standard’s blue. Turn the holder over and the back of the note shows a pale, reversed image of the front.
Two Ways to See It
The artwork is printed with UV-reactive ink, and the photos show the difference. In ordinary light the note reads as a fine black-and-white illustration. Under a UV light, the moon, the stars, the butterflies and the eyes of the peacock feathers glow blue. Goldback counts the UV ink and the serial number as the two security features on every Silverback.
Graded at the Top of the Scale
A 70 is the highest grade PCGS gives a banknote. It means the note is centered to the unaided eye with full margins and shows no handling marks and no print flaws anywhere. PPQ means Premium Paper Quality, the PCGS designation for original paper that has not been pressed, repaired or cleaned. Because Goldback grades every Elite before release, the holder is part of the piece rather than an extra.
Priced as Art, Not as Silver
This is a collectible. A thousandth of an ounce of silver is worth very little on its own, and the Elite costs far more than that silver. What you are paying for is the grade, the low mintage and the artwork, and Goldback, Inc. is clear that a Silverback is made for collecting and trading, not for spending.

1 Hera Elite Silverback FAQ
What makes the Elite different from the Standard Hera Silverback?
A purple border and security thread in place of the Standard’s blue, a much lower mintage, and grading on every note. The artwork and silver content are the same.
Can I buy the Hera Elite ungraded?
No. Goldback, Inc. releases the Elite in a graded version only, so every Elite comes in a PCGS holder.
Why do the product photos look different from each other?
One front photo is lit to show the UV-reactive ink, which makes the moon, stars, butterflies and feather eyes glow blue. The other shows the note in ordinary light, the way it looks on a shelf.
What does Supreme Gem Uncirculated 70 PPQ mean?
It is the top grade on the PCGS banknote scale, paired with the Premium Paper Quality designation for original, unaltered paper.
Will I receive serial number 304?
No. That is the note in the photos. Each Hera Elite carries its own serial number, shown on the note and on the PCGS label, so yours will differ.
