The Heraeus 10 oz Silver Bar is a great way to buy a bit more silver than just getting an ounce. The Heraeus 10 oz Silver Bar is a beautiful bar made of .999 fine silver. Each bar has a serial number that serves as an anticounterfeiting measure.
Key features;
- Individual serial numbers
- Made from 10 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver.
- Obverse has mint logo ‘Heraeus’ ‘Feinsilber’ ‘999.9’ ‘10oz’’ and serial number
- The reverse side is purposely blank
Each bar comes individually packaged in protective wrapping to protect them during shipping. This ensures each bar arrives in new condition.
Cast silver bars are created by pouring molten silver into a cast or mold. After it cools and solidifies, it is weighed to make sure it is the exact amount of silver. Then the bar is stamped with the mint logo, purity, weight, and serial number. Cast bars aren’t as shiny like minted bars but have a kind of matte finish. One feature of a cast bar is that no two cast bars look exactly alike.
The obverse side of the bar has ‘Heraeus’ and ‘Feinsilber’ stamped on it which translated into English means ‘fine silver’. Below that is ‘999.0’ and the mint’s logo. Written just below the logo is ‘10oz’ and a serial number. The reverse side of the bar is purposely left blank. Any markings or designs are a result of the mold after the molten silver ore was into it.

These are nice bars. They come inside a small ziplock bag, and the assay card is inside the bag along with the bar. So you can easily take the bar out of the bag if you want. I like this method better than shrink wrap. The bars also stack pretty good.
