The highly popular Morgan Silver dollars are sought after by collectors all over the world. The history of the Morgan Silver dollars is that they were originally minted from 1878-1904. The mint then stopped making silver dollars. This means that the silver dollars that were already in circulation became heavily worn. Some people saved them for their silver. Collectors feared the Morgan design was forever lost as getting your hands on one of these coins became increasingly hard. Then, in 1921, the silver dollars went back into production and the Morgan design returned. It was decided, however, that the 1922 silver dollar would be a different design and thus ended the minting of the Morgan Silver dollar. This limited run means they are still a bit difficult to get. We offer these coins from the 1921 mintage and they are in very good (VG) condition.
