From the Lithuanian Mint comes this stunning 2022 2 oz Niue King Tut’s Tomb Silver Coin. This coin is absolutely gorgeous. It captures the feeling the archeologists must have felt upon opening the tomb of the boy king King Tutankhamun and finding his coffin. This coin uses gold plating and colorization to recreate the beautiful, ornate coffin of King Tut on a coin made with .999 pure silver.
Key features:
- Made of 2 Troy ounces of .999 fine silver
- Very limited edition with only 500 pcs available worldwide
- Face value of 5 dollars backed by the Niuean government

The obverse side of the coin has the Niue public seal which has a ring of what looks like beads surrounding a circle that has the various plants and trees found on the island. The beadlike objects on the outer ring represent the fourteen villages of Niue. At the bottom of the seal is ‘ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI’ which translates to ‘God, Niue eternally’. At the top of the coin is ‘FIVE DOLLARS’ and at the bottom is ‘2022’. To the right in a much smaller text is ‘Ag 999’. This whole side has an antique finish.
On the reverse side of the coin are the layers of King Tut’s coffin. There were three layers before the 24lb gold mask which has become synonymous with King Tut. All the layers are rendered here in detail and are embellished with gold plating and colorization to capture the beauty of the Egyptians’ craftsmanship. The background has an antique finish giving this side a kind of 3-D effect.
