The Mani 2 oz Silver Rune Pennigar-Asgard Round would fit perfectly into any Norsemen’s coin purse. From Asgard Poured Silver comes this round that is poured by hand as the Norsemen would have undoubtedly done, no two of these rounds are alike. Each round is made from .999 fine silver.
- Made with 2 oz .999 fine silver
- ‘Mani’ finish
- Minted by Asgard Poured Silver
- Each round has unique runes stamped into it
The obverse side of this round has the Asgard Poured Silver mint mark, one of Odin’s ravens. Stamped at the top of the mint mark is ‘ASGARD’. Under the raven’s image is ‘2 oz 999 Silver’ in a runic looking font. Stamped around the mint mark are various runes like the runes found on Norse relics. Norse runes were created during the time of the Romans and represent one of the earliest forms of Germanic writing. Runes came in short twig form and long stick form. Long stick form runes were intended to convey longer messages than the short twig form. The runes on this round are in long stick form. Being these runes are random for each round, perhaps the round you get will convey some ancient secret.
The reverse side of the round is generally blank but may bear runes stamps and has striations from the cooling process.
This round has the ‘Maini’ finish. Mani means moon in the Nordic language and like the moon, this round has a muted shine. The only shine on this round is what comes naturally without polishing. It is silver in its purest form. Hand pouring gives these rounds a rustic look that is consistent with Ancient Norse History.
