When Knuckles was introduced in the video game Sonic the Hedgehog 3, he was an antagonist to Sonic. Later, he sided with Sonic and is now a close friend. Fans like the complexity of this character. Now, he is immortalized on this full color 1 oz silver round.

Sonic the Hedgehog was introduced in the Japanese video game, Sonic the Hedgehog when it was released in 1991 on the Sega Genesis. This game really showcased what the new console could do with fast paced gameplay and fast rendering of graphics. Sonic is the protagonist of the game and tries to collect as many gold rings as possible while battling opponents. The main antagonist of the series is Dr. Eggman, a mad scientist. Sonic starred in many games that spun out of the original. Along the way, other characters joined the fight like Tails and Knuckles while others like Shadow the Hedgehog were against him. Sonic has inspired a host of media products such as a tv show, several video games, and movies.

On the obverse side of the round are three characters from the Sonic franchise, Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles ‘Tails Prower, and Knuckles the Echnida. This design is made in full color. The three characters are surrounded by a gold ring.

The reverse side has Knuckles. He is shown here smiling but you really are sure if it is genuine. Below his image is ‘KNUCKLES’.
