So many things can kill you in Australia. There are many, many animals on land, in the air, and in the waters that can kill a person. One of the most deadly is the shark. Not all sharks are aggressive but the hammerhead shark is considered one of the most aggressive. These sharks are rather unusually shaped but are built to find and eat stingrays. Sometimes humans get in the way of their quest and get bit. They are particularly aggressive during stingray mating season where they venture into the shallow waters where the stingrays are breeding. The largest of the nine breeds of hammerhead sharks is the Great Hammerhead Shark.
