From 1971-1990 the Arnold Machin design was used where the queen is shown at age 37 wearing a tiara and facing to the right. This design was replaced by Dora de Pédery-Hunt’s design where the queen is facing to the right and is shown at age 64. Both designs have ‘Elizabeth II’ to the left of her image and ‘D.G. Regina’ to the right.
